Land Cost Includes:

All accommodations, including 3 nights in a First Class hotel in Quito, Ecuador and 10 or 14 nights aboard the yacht in the Galápagos. Accommodations in Quito include 2 people sharing a double room. If you prefer your own room, there is a Single Supplement Cost of $150 per person; see the Reservation Information section of the Trip Application Form. All boat cabins must be shared, except by special arrangement.
All meals and non-alcoholic beverages aboard the yacht, and most meals (as indicated in the itinerary) in Quito.
All Airport transfers in Quito and the Galápagos.
The services of an expert-level Tour Leader accompanying the group and a University-level Naturalist Guide conducting the land tours.

Land Cost Does Not Include:

Any airfare
Galápagos National Park Entrance Fee ($100 per person)
Galápagos Tourist Card ($10 per person)
International Departure Tax from Ecuador ($41 per person)
Governmental Fuel Tax / Fuel Surcharge ($260 or $360 for 11 or 15 days aboard the yacht)*

* Effective June 1, 2008 the government of Ecuador is adding a diesel fuel tax to all vessels purchasing in excess of 4,000 gallons of fuel per month. Oil being one of Ecuador's primary products on the world market, they have always previously opted to subsidize prices within the country, rather than tax them. This tax has therefore caught everyone by surprise, causing an adjustment to tour costs. While we truly hope there will be no further fuel taxes, we cannot be sure where the government's new policy will go next. The current tax on our departures is $24 per day, or $260 total per person on our 11-day workshops, and $360 total per person on our 15-day workshops.
